









Joel Edwards renders realism in mediums of pencil, oil, and watercolor. The majority of his artwork depicts physical landscapes and exquisite nature scenes. Upon closer observation, every single brush and pencil stroke that he lays down reveals a quiet meditation on his surroundings. The environments Joel portrays show consciousness and contemplation.
The intent of Joel’s artistic creations is to deliver a message of spiritual truth to the viewer. In his revelations, he seeks to add a sense of tranquility to mundane reality.
Joel’s work has won awards in national competitions such as the 32nd Annual Bosque Art Classic 2017 and in 2019 the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society 28th BEST OF AMERICA NATIONAL Exhibition; Park City, Utah. He was a finalist in the International ARC Salon 2012-2013 and 2017-2018 as well as 2019-2020. Look for new works that will be included in the 35th Annual Bosque Art Classic 2020. His work has been seen and prized in numerous other shows in the central Texas area. Some of Joel’s notable portraits include Christian music great Kurt Kaiser, as seen on his latest album cover, Legacy. Also, Joel’s portrait of Dr. Gordon Teal hangs in the Teal Residential College at Baylor University. His creative work has been used for book and magazine covers as well as granite memorials across the United States. He is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The Professional Artists of Central Texas, National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society and his paintings are included in collections throughout Texas and around the nation.
