CAROL FOX HENRICHS
Artist Statement
At its core, my fine art practice creates a visual dialogue that speaks to the heart—inviting reflection and connection with both the seen and the unseen.
I explore the delicate balance between reality and imagination through a process that begins with my original photography and evolves through intentional finishing that may include digital brushwork and hand-crafted textures. Each piece is constructed intentionally, in layers, blending the tangible world with abstract, expressive elements to move beyond documentation and into interpretation—transforming what is observed into what is felt.
While some of my finished works are records of a place or moment, many are crafted visual experiences. Through composition, color, texture, and light, I shape atmosphere and emotion—inviting the viewer to slow down, look longer, and enter the image as they would a painting: through perception, memory, and feeling.
I approach each piece as a studio work—carefully composed, refined, and completed with the same deliberateness.
