Artist Statement

“I don’t shoot people. Instead, I use my camera to focus on the beauty I see around me. Through my art, I express my feelings for the locations I visit and the wonders of nature I encounter along the way. Rather than simply documenting a scene, my fine art works serve to communicate my memories and feelings about the subject or scene and to evoke an emotional response from the viewer.”

Background & Bio

Native Texan – born on Galveston Island • Degrees: BSBA, MEd, EdD • Certifications in photography from Michigan State University & The Photography Institute

After a career of supporting the use of technology in education, Carol retired from Texas A&M University to pursue her encore career in photography. Dr. Henrichs’ photography career provided opportunities for her to be a featured speaker for Carnival Cruise Lines, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Wildlife Expo, as well as many other organizations. Ever the educator, she conducts workshops and writes informative articles for her website blog.
