WENDY MICHELLE DAVIS
Artist Statement
“My aim when I make art is to secure moments, whether it’s a spot along a trail, a scene from travel, or close ups of fruit and florals. I am captivated by the ever-changing beauty of the natural world and it always kindles a desire in me to create.
It gives me great joy to paint and express myself in my paintings, and when others see and feel these same qualities in my work it is so satisfying for me. “

Background & Bio
Wendy Michelle Davis grew up in the state of California where she studied art at Consumnes River College and Cabrillo College. Her life has led her to reside abroad and in other parts of North America. Texas has been home since 2018, and it is where Wendy’s roots have firmly planted. She is a full-time artist selling her paintings locally and internationally.
Her work can be described as vibrant and painterly as she seeks to capture the fleeting beauty of life with broad loose brushstrokes. Whether a branch of fruit, a field of flowers, or a scene from travels in old Europe, her art is lively and captivating.
Wendy loves supporting her community and the arts. Seasonally, she hosts artist retreats at her home studio, which is set in nature just outside of Waco, Texas. She also conducts monthly painting workshops. In October of 2023 she put on the Austin Avenue Art Fair in Waco, Texas, which she plans to make a yearly event.
You can see Wendy’s paintings in galleries in Waco, at the Vineyard at Florence, in Florence, Texas, and throughout the year in a number of juried art markets.
